Southern California
Starting: Section C1 - Snow Canyon
Ending:  Section C2 - Whitewater Creek

Made it to Snow Canyon at the bottom of San Jacinto by 9am where I found Luke, Drew, & the Toms (2 thru-hikers both named Tom). Luke (indestructible 25 year old) & Drew (professional mountaineering guide) had gone over Fuller Ridge. They said it wasn't too bad.

We hiked out together and camped on the rocky & driftwood laden shore of the Whitewater River. Built a huge campfire & shared war stories over a bottle of brandy…

I accidentally left my camera in the backseat of the car during my 1st ever hitch. Luckily, the kind folks who gave me a ride, Mr. & Mrs. Gookin, were tracked down via the pct-l email list by the amazing Natalie and they sent my camera ahead to Big Bear. Thank you! So, no photos are available between May 23rd - May 30th.
