Southern California
Starting: Section E6 - San Francisquito Canyon Road
Ending:  Section E8 - Road Junction- Shake Canyon

I have been on the trail for a full month. Here are some random examples of acquired trail knowledge:

1st Breakfast: Lighter than pop-tarts & packing more calories, the Holy Trinity of Hostess baked goods: little chocolate donuts, dunkin’ sticks, & honey buns. I eat them from the cozy warmth of my sleeping bag.

2nd lunch: 1/4 lb. thin spaghetti. Boil & drain. Add healthy shot of extra virgin olive oil, dry pesto mix, & long squeeze of garlic (yes, they make garlic in a tube). Enjoy with a side of tortillas.

Blister care: Take a double nip of bourbon. Sterilize needle w/ flame then inert into the base of the blister. Push down on the center of the blister while slowly removing needle- careful, large blisters can soak surrounding area with that special liquid & pushing too hard creates a geyser effect. Allow to air dry…
