Southern California
Starting: Section F6 - Almost to Hamp Williams Pass
Ending:  Section F10 - Butterbredt Canyon Road

Drank the last of my water with the morning Honey Bun. I knew that Robin Bird Spring was only 8 miles away and I generally don't drink much in the morning.

The walk there was beautiful- shaded Jeffrey pine & Black Oak forest. Made it to the spring (best on-trail water yet) by 10:00 am & did some serious cameling. Drank 1.5 liters there & carried out 4 more- my current max capacity.

The Jeffrey pines slowly gave way to the more draught tolerant Pinyon pines as the day progressed. By 5:00 pm we were back in a hot & dry high desert environment.

Currently camped among Joshua trees, longing for the pine forest of this morning...
